About Fighting
A Word About Fighting
However you dress it up, fighting is all about causing pain and hurting people. As we’ve said previously, fighting is not a pretty sight and there are no rules obeyed.
Really we should consider fighting as part of the tools we can invoke as we engage our survival instinct, and not an art. Lets face it; we as a human race have always fought.
Over power (government, politics, business…)
Over resources (land, water, gold…)
Over women (or men…)
Over not much at all!
When people first learned that what they couldn’t get by communication or persuasion they could get by force, the strong and the strong willed have always tried to dominate the weaker members, using extreme force if necessary.
From cavemen to present, this situation still exists.
The reason why muggers are often successful over younger, more powerful victims is that they have this power, the fact that they know what they want and that if they use violence or the threat of violence, they’ll get what they want.
We all watch films and the news, so when an attacker confronts us and
… pulls out a knife and threaten us – we get scared!…
… pulls out a gun and threaten us – we get scared!…
… threatens to kill us – we get scared!…
so we give them everything they demand.
About Fighting.
We’re going to outline a system on these pages where once you learn the basics, you’ll be set for life. You may not be able to train every week, but if push comes to shove you will do what is necessary to protect yourself with what you internally recall because it is part of your natural processes. We’re going to train you to act, not react.
We want you to know how to manage a confrontation.
However…
I must repeat that violence is not always the answer.
It is socially unacceptable.
Despite an aggressive person’s obscenities shouting, threats, menacing posture and attempts at intimidation – if it is possible to talk and walk your way out of the situation – then do so.
You will have to make a quick decision if a real threat is imminent.
If it is then you must taken action immediately you feel threatened!
Action, not reaction.
Engage with violence when you have no other choice and engage to win, because at the end of the confrontation or fight – the winner is the one still active and standing.
