Started in martial arts over 31 years ago in Shotokan Karate at the fairly late age of 27. Moved to Judo three years later. While doing Judo, was introduced to ju-jitsu and traditional goshin jutsu, in the 80's. Now enjoys reality based, personal self protection practice based on efficient interpretation of martial and similar arts, given that rules and referees and regulations don't exist for violent situations outside a dojo.
